Those ar good, Red. A comment on that type of lens:
The lens is supposed to give you a very short depth of field, and does that quite well in your pictures. However, you will also get some apparent bokeh around the edges, with the center being the sharpest of the picture. In the first picture, look at the flowers and the bud in the upper left quad. They are at the same basic distance, but the flowers are going bokeh as they reach the frame of the picture.
This is not a fault in the lens. It is a physical factor inherent in these lenses. You have to keep that in mind when framing your picture with that lens.
Very good shots. I hope you take this as an inveterate teacher spouting off, rather than a put down of your work. Pops

Pops Not at all, I would be a fool not to listen. I greatly value your knowledge, and welcome all the information you can give me. I got this lens as an entry to the world of Macro. I really enjoy it, it makes me think, and the digital helps me experiment. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

red, your flower shots are fantastic; I especially like the one above with the bee! Really, really nice.
As for Xena...her face is saying what I often say to my husband: "Don't make me mad!" (To which he always replies: "Too late for that!")

When he took that photo, I bet BC was saying, "Get me some lens paper! I think I have 'heron' my lens!" OK, from "heron" no more bird puns.

Everyone knows I am a veritable paragon of veracity, an exemplar of veraciousness, the verisimilitude of candor.

The use of such phraseology in composing, no concocting your response using words many would not even conceive of using. Innovational and originative though it may be, it only serves to make people who write like wot I do feel unejukated.
