Have you ever thought about Aguila SSS in your NAA mini-gun? 60 grain bullet, loaded in a Short case, so the OAL is the same as a Long Rifle. Subsonic - 950 fps published velocity. Don't know what you'd get out of that short barrel. And I'm sure it would not stabilize. But the larger/heavier bullet might do more damage. Especially if it is sideways when it hits. I was thinking about the best stuff for this one with a 1 7/8 barrel, and suddenly remembered I have a brick of them. Accuracy would probably suck - when I tried them on paper, through my silenced Ruger, they keyholed, so I quit running them through the can. But at short range???

Wow, that is a weird looking dude for sure. Ive not even seen one of them before although I do shoot their "primer only" rounds through my can at the squeekies and grey digger squirrels here in the city. Even with no powder they are good buff to kill those boogers first shot.
Are those heavy bullets at that speed accurate at all even though they keyhole? If they are especially at the short distances I have here in the front yard, (30 yards max) they might be even better than the ones I am using.

I will ask NAA if they would be safe for my 'Shorty'. And really, lesser accuracy doesn't matter, because I can't hit anything from more than 5' any way. It is a get off me gun' and if it added some pop (possible added blood channel) and keyholing would be an added attraction. I'll check on it and write my findings here. Wow, thanks for the heads up, 'you da man'!

I see I'm not the only one. I was researching something else, and found this article. www.gundigest.com/gun-collecting-firearm-collecting/gun-review-sw-317-airliteNotice, about 2/3 of the way down, on the left, the picture. >If I were to carry the AirLite as a defense gun, I’d probably stoke it full of the Aguila 60-grain (that’s right, 60-grain) .22 SSS Sniper Sub-Sonic .22 LR ammo rather than something like a CCI stinger. I don’t really trust any of the hyper-velocity .22s to expand reliably out of a 2-inch barrel, but I’m pretty sure that Aguila’s 60-grainer would burrow in pretty deep.<

I just realized those were 22LR, not short. Still, if I ever find some of them around, I will get some.
I have a mod 63, which has 8 rounds, and those 60's are a good idea.
