I once talked to one of the original IRA members. He mentioned that he "knew" (with a wink) a rooftop sniper in Ireland during the troubles who used a crossbow. I don't know if it was the truth or if he was Irishing me.

What is a Claymore? I thought it was a Scottish two-handed broadsword. 'Cause, that sure looks smaller than a two-handed sword.

I spent some time over there Pops and never heard that one. I doubt it, as engagement rules were very strict.Also PM on its way about a related subject.
Alpo, I have seen many a claymore that was one handed. Distinctive features were a broad blade and wrap around decorative guard.
