It being mother's Day, and me not being a mother, I thought about grandparents Day. Seems like I had noticed that on a calendar some years back.
I look it up. Yes indeed, there is a grandparents Day. Congress decided it would be the Sunday after Labor Day, and Mr Peanut signed it into law back in 77.
There is an official grandparents Day flower. The forget me not. Which blooms in the spring. So if I wanted to give my grandmother flowers on grandparents Day, I would not be able to give her official grandparents Day flowers, because they're all dead in September.
Now this is not a really serious problem. But it seems to me that they should have either picked a different flower or picked a different day.

Oh good grief. They don't really think anything through, do they?
