Is this where I ask questions about my handgun and the rounds that go in it?
I have been reading and learning terminology. Looked up wadcutter this morning. I went to the cupboard and looked at the rounds that I have for my .32 H&R Mag and noted differences. I have 85gr JHP and 95gr Lead Semi-Wadcutter rounds. Tell me about the differences. I think I've figured out that the wadcutter rounds are more for target shooting and that the JHP rounds make big, jagged holes. Any additional insight is appreciated.
Thanks y'all for being such good teachers and not making me feel dumb.

JHP rounds are defensive rounds meant to expand and do more damage.

I like wadcutters more. They leave nice round holes in paper. Someone on another gun forum said wadcutters did make a better hole for blood loss. Everybody else on here knows lots more than I do.

My carry revolver is loaded with round-nose target ammo, I figure I can always say I was going to the range and suddenly had to protect myself.

Thanks everybody. I just learned a lot! Oh, boy, how long before I get all of this info into the brain deep enough that I can retain it? So much new stuff!

I have a lot of trouble with recoil. I usually only shoot 32 wadcutters, less recoil than round point. My hands and wrists are just so hinky. It's hard to put any real practice in when your hands are throbbing in pain. Last time I went shooting I misfired more times than not because I had trouble pulling the hammer back. I shoot single action because I can't pull the trigger. I wonder if I can get my S&W trigger pull easier to pull???

I wish there was something that could be done for people with joint pain that severe. My hubby had bad arthritis pain and serious cartilage loss in his hips and shoulders, and he started taking a couple of supplements that seemed to help. He got off of tylenol. I also use a lot of bone broth in my cooking and some think the collagen in broth can repair damaged joints.
