I've had a beautiful slab of California Walnut from the early 50s for close to 20 years. I also have a Mauser barreled action in 308 Win that will need a stock. I've started converting the walnut blank into a gunstock. I hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew. Pictures to come. JOHN

I can't even hazard a guess on how many hours it'll take but it will be worth it.

I've almost got the action and trigger-guard inletted . Then I'll need to do the outside shaping , bed the barrelled action , and then oil finish the stock.
