I watched this video. First time I'd seen the process. It all makes so much sense and I'm more excited now than ever about learning to reload! Anybody have any favorite YT videos?

That's number one. I think Jim has about 20 or 25 videos in that "reloading for women" series.

That's the one firearm that I own so it would be a good place to start. I can't wait to get to the range to start learning to fire this thing. I'm a newbie and this gun just feels so damn big in my hand! Does it get any lighter with use?

Again, make sure you have at least one current manual for a reference. Videos can be informative but there is a lot of mis-information on the internet. One website I will recommend is load data.com. JOHN

JOHN Thanks John. I'm going to the gun store tomorrow to sign up for a class and choose some eye and ear protection, as well as pick up a manual or two. I'll check out that site right now.
Edit: Found the load data.com site and bookmarked it.

Happy reading.
Any questions, feel free to say, "hey, what does he mean by this?"

Happy reading. Any questions, feel free to say, "hey, what does he mean by this?" Thanks, I will.
One thing that has surprised me from the videos I've watched -- the tolerance for damage to the brass that is acceptable to reloaders is much greater than I expected it would be. I have made gold dental crowns and have had crowns rejected for flaws measured in a tenth of a millimeter. I tend to overthink stuff, and that's true of the impression I had of acceptable case damage. I'm glad I'm overthinking on the side of safety.
What a cool learning process this will be!

Seems like Piney made a Christmas Tree garland out of spent shot gun shells.

Seems like Piney made a Christmas Tree garland out of spent shot gun shells. Sounds even better than what we used to do with them as kids, using pheasant tail feathers to make a "helicopter" out of them.
Although I'll probably get tossed out of here for saying I'd put glitter on them.

Being a smart aleck, with name Sparkle, I figgered you would put glitter anywhere.

Being a smart aleck, with name Sparkle, I figgered you would put glitter anywhere. Yep, that's me! But I have actually gotten to the point I never thought I would see -- the place where there IS too much of a good (sparkly) thing. I like Piney's work, which is so much more organic than anything I do. Maybe I'm growing up at the ripe old age of (almost) 66.
