We've had a Beretta Tomcat in 32 acp for a number of years. Originally bought it for Mrs R but she doesn't care for it. I've been wanting a pocket EDC carry pistol .Anyone have any experience or opinions on these ?

Not on that particular Beretta as I've never had the opportunity to fire one.
1. TO ME, pocket carry is a mistake. To difficult to make a clean, quick draw. Too easy to foul the gun with lint and other undesirables. Too small a gun caliber to be comfortable. FOR ME.
2. If it fits you for accuracy and clean draw, and, you accept pocket carry, the final decision has to be yours.

Looks like a cool little gun and Al frame so nice and light, quick search seems to rate them, only problem seems to be cracked frames (no doubt after a lot of use) and the barrel hinge pin can come out a bit and jam the slide (easy the check and secure).
I do see lots mentioned about calibres for defence and have wondered in all reality how many bad guys would actually still come at you if you were pumping them full of even 22! Different of course for battle hardened troops, but some teenage punk after a few $
That said I no nothing about carrying a pistol as such (and hope I never have to)
All the best.

If the punk is after nothing but your cash and cards, merely showing the gun will usually be enough. If the punk is hitting you out of mere bully fun, a hit or two with almost any caliber will be enough. If the punk is high on drugs, he will never notice he has been shot until he is incapacitated. That is where the larger calibers become important.
