I have been seriously considering the above rifle. It takes M16 mags, of which I have many, and 5.56 is a calibre I like. Decent range, very effective and easy on the shoulder.
Any thoughts?

I'm relieved. Been trying to think of the best way to phrase it.
"Millions of people in the city, so the odds are quite dinky - but has anyone heard from Shooter lately?"

Sorry Alpo, I have been around but had nothing really going on. Things have changed for me so much over the past couple of years, from being investigated for serious crime, to being cleared of any wrong doing to possible further action from others to follow. I have been left without work, being for various reasons unable to continue as before. I have started restoring antique guns and its been suggested I return to writing and possibly art. In effect I am at a loose end these days. As I say, other action against me may follow, but when, how and if at all remains to be seen.
Regarding the attacks in London and Manchester, the danger to any one person is tiny. London is a City of many millions. The madness, the evil of these people beggars belief. That innocent, unarmed people could be attacked in this cold hearted and cruel way is no less that evil, cowardly madness.
How can these people be stopped? I simply dont know. There are some ways to further deter them, for example deportation of relatives of any terrorist, but its a step I doubt authorities would be prepared to take.

I handled a couple when I was working at the pawn and gun shop. I really liked the way they felt.

I have bought it, but in accordance with UK regs cant collect until the police enter it on my licence. A pain, but I still think licensing guns, like drivers is sensible. Though unlike drivers you dont have to pass a test. I have ordered a couple of bits for it, a compensator and mid range scope (1-4x25). Also as they seem to take M16 mags, I have dug out and cleaned four Mil Spec Colt 20 rd mags (has a mag more awkward to assemble been designed yet?). I have a couple of 30 rd mags but suspect they will be too awkward in a light bolt action. A bit long and heavy. The rifle comes with a 10 rd mag, so the 20s will look a bit M14 like, which is fine.
Really looking forward to getting it out on the range.
