OK gang I do a LOT of reloading make mistakes now and then (never had a bad experience other than a squib on occasion) but have had to pull bullets and salvage primers or shot and wads etc. But in this case I have a question for all.
I just finished resizing and deprimng about 300, 30-30 brass. I used one shot lube on all of them to putem thru the sizing die. So naturally prior tp cleaning the primer pockets and repriming I felt I had to clean the lube off of all the cases. In this case because there were so many, doing them individually seemed monumental. I therefore decided to dump them into a half gallon of vinegar swish em around a bit then dry and blow them out with hi pressure air.
It left a slight discoloration on the brass that can be wiped off but I wonder if in any way the vinegar may cause and damage or weakness to brass. Any ideas before I reprime and load or put them in my trash, brass bucket.

How bout nutter question.
The older Sierra bullets for 30-30 rifles were marked .308 "30-30" and they were usually a soft, flat nosed bullet. I loaded the last 100 of them that I had on the shelf and when I went to Bruno"s to buy some more 150 grain bullets for them, I found some 150 gr "round nose" but not a single box marked "30-30" bullets. I'm a little concerned about using them for a rifle with stacked ammo in a magazine tube. Have any of you loaded and carry round nose bullets for the lever action 30-30s? What other bullets do you like for your lever guns/ For the past 40 years I have only used these 150 gr Sierras.

Have any of you loaded your 223 ammo with Vit. N133? I had never tried it until this holiday weekend. My grandson (15 yrs old) came to spend the holiday with us and we had a chance to do some loading and shooting together. He has been shooting and loading with Gpa since he was 5 yrs old. I found a load using n133 and a 52 gr HPBT Sierra MATCH bullet. We tried 11 rounds using fed primers and 25 grains of powder. Then took them to the bench. He used the first round as his heater then shot two, five round groups at 100 yds to see how they would work. They crono at about 3175 fps average and his groups could be covered with a quarter with a tiny bit peeking out. Not even half a hole. So he loaded another 150 rounds to have for our prairie dog shooting this spring.
While he was loading, I loaded 95, 45-70 rounds with 57 grains of H322 and 300 grain jacketed bullets and Fed 210 LRPs. We crono those at 2075 fps average.
It remains a great thing we do whenever we get together and in addition being as how he just got his driving permit, Gpa started him driving my old 69 ford 1/2 ton 4wheel drive pickup with standard, 4 spd trans. He will be the only kid in his school who knows how to drive a standard I'll bet. It was a blast and he is actually getting pretty good getting off the line without bucking and jumping or overrevving. LOL

Do clean them and do put a bit of oil of some type on them before final loading. When I have a similar situation, I just dump them in the vibrator for a few minutes with either walnut shell or saw shavings. (Not real fine sawdust, but the coarser stuff I get from the chain saw.) This is one reason I use a silicone lube for sizing. With that, they don't have to be degreased. Pops

Thanks to you all. Back from the clutches. Hell of a way to lose weight. lol Hopefully I can get back to the bench. I want to load a bunch of 55 gr fmj 223s for practice for the wife and I both. We both have the bushmaster ARs and she really likes to practice with it. So will build a bunch and then try them on the range. Stay well all and thanks again.
