Alpo, once some time ago in a land far far away, I was worried about unexpected visitors. Handguns were not available but I did get hold of two, yes two cut down 12g doubles. Very similar to the one in your picture. Also hammer guns. I loaded the two barrels, one with shot the other a make do slug. You know the trick I am sure. Never had to use or even threaten with them, but cool rating when holding both, off the scale...

My house had a standard front door and a side door that was a double. I heard a knock one day on that double door. I opened it to see who was in my driveway and saw two rather burly men on the step. Without a word of greeting, they just pushed the other door open and entered my house. When they turned around to face me, they noticed that I was "pointing" at them. They VERY suddenly began introducing themselves and producing gov't ID and badges. Seems Gov't agents don't like looking down the barrel of a Colt's M1917. Pops

Seems Gov't agents don't like looking down the barrel of a Colt's M1917. Pops Pops, who would? I often thought whatever your preference, auto revolver, big or small bore a large revolver will often get someones attention quicker. Its long been a theory of mine. Seriously, ever pointed a little auto in .380 at anyone? Not always impressed. Then try a big frame revolver, or 1911, or Tokerev....... Deterrent often works and if it avoids actual harm, so much the better.

SOLD IT! Someone saw it, with the respray and pistol grip and said they wanted it. I only asked what it cost me, sort of regretted the whole idea and glad to see the money back frankly. Ah well, onward and upward.
