I like the looks of that Bearcat. That would look great if we had open carry in this state.

I bought one with the intent of giving it to grandbaby when she got old enough. Then daughter went and had another kid, ruining that plan. Spoiling the grandchild gets expensive when there's more than one.
But I'm up in Georgia showing it to Hazel. Lobita is in kindergarten - this is May and she's five. La rubia is seventeen months. I ask her if she'd like to see it, and hand it to her. She's got a good two-hand hold on it, and after a moment I reach for it and she pulls it away from me. I laugh a bit and reach for it again, and she pulls it away again,
I look over at Hazel and she's got her phone outfiddling with it. I reach again and the baby lets go with one hand and SLAPS my hand away.
I ask Hazel if she's getting this and she says, "I can't get the camera started".
After three or four "pull aways" and two "slap my hands" I finally get it back.
A beautiful grandpa/grandbaby bonding moment, and it did not get recorded for posterity because the flippin' Iphone wouldn't cooperate.

Looks like your grand baby knows her guns! Good girl. Beware. Alpo, it may become expensive!

That is why I never trust a telephone to take pictures. Granted, I don't ALWAYS have my professional D70 or D200 in hand, but I DO always have my Canon pocket 2200 with me as often as I have my P85 on my hip. Pops

If I can, I like the pictures my iPad takes. I know, I know weird, but I can clean 'em up if needed. It isn't the best "carry" camera, but I don't take that many pictures either!

The iPxxx cameras are getting pretty good. For journalism and general recording they are great. However, I have the inner need to get pictures rather than photographs. I had that drilled into by my mentor back in the late 40s. Look up Bill Belknap, photographer, to get an idea of who filled my (then) impressionable mind with photography ideas. Pops
